HEY EVERYONE!!!
So im really stoked to get an email from my family this week! . . . . haha! just kiddin its all good :) Hows everything going in utah! is it gettin hot yet? because it sure is flipin hot down here haha but i love it! so i got that picture of the rat in my taco from chase, and me and my companion laughed pretty hard! that taco had like 5 or 6 parts of a habanero pepper in it! it was really hot, i think i would of rather eaten the rat! that toco gave me a life lesson, to never, ever, EVER challenge a mexican to a pepper eating contest EVER again haha! because Asael totally kicked my trash! So this week we got some pretty sad news in coatzintla, Elder Meraz is leaving and going to a different part of the mission, he leaves tomorrow morning. Its hard seeing him go because he has been an awesome companion for the last 3 months. I was told my new companion is another mexicano, but i dont know anything else about him. Its going to be a little harder to not have anyone to speak english to haha but i will probably learn faster this way :) This week went really good for us, we had alot of time to visit our converts and find alot more people to teach. We also had another baptism!! His name is Luis Fernando, he is a 12 year old boy that we found about 3 weeks ago. His parents arent members but he has an aunt that is an active member of our ward, so through her, we found Luis Fernando. His baptism was really special, i got to baptize him. He has so much faith that his mom will eventually join the church, i bet before i leave coatzintla, we will baptize her. Well i love and miss you all alot, i will write you next week at this same time!

HEY FAMILY!!!
I hope everything is going good up there in Utah, this week for Elder Meraz and I has been really great! We killed a HUGE rat in the front of our house, we went and saw alot more ruins, and we had an amazing baptism! This week, we baptized a woman named Marisol who is the mother of Yadira. How we found her was about 3 weeks ago we had a testimony meeting in church, and Yadira got up to bear her testimony! She talked about how when she was a little girl her mom left their family, and she hadnt seen her mom in like 10 years. She said how she was praying that she would find her mom, and after a few days, they got a knock on the door, IT WAS HER MOM!!! Yadira said that she knows that when she prays god is listening to her, and she knows that prayer works. After the meeting, Yadira came up to talk to me and Elder Meraz and asked us to go talk with her mom. The mom of Yadira, Marisol, accepted baptizm in the first leccion, and after two and a half weeks we baptized her. Because of the example of Yadira, the rest of her family is coming closer to christ, and we are working with some of the other members of her family right now so maybe in the future they will get baptized. So i hear that you all have been talking with Azael!! Thats awesome!! Azael is a really cool dude. But i need to ask you all not to use skype with him when we are over at his house, Azael thinks its funny to tempt us to brake the rules, but me and elder meraz wont brake the rules. Well i´ve gotta go, i will write you next week! i love you and miss you all a ton! Adios!

Hey Everyone!!

Mom im glad your lesson went good!! thats awesome that you love your calling so much! So i hope everything at home is going well. And chase, thanks for that photo bro!! i showed Elder Meraz and we both laughed pretty hard haha! So things here have been really good this week, we have been having alot of success. About two weeks ago, our stake president asked Nery and Vincent (two of our converts) to give their testimonies in stake conference. Nery and Vincent were pretty nervous because they have never done anything like that before. So Elder Meraz and I went over to their house and gave a lesson on testimonies and how they just need to give feelings from their heart. Yesterday was our stake conference, and it just so happens that a 70 came to speak also, so Nery and Vincent were pretty nervous. They did AMAZING!! hearing them give their testimonies was one of the most spiritual experiences of my mission so far. Even though they have only been members for about a month, they have testimonies as strong as someone who has been a member their whole life. Nery and Vincent were definitely some of the chosen people for Elder Meraz and I to find out here. it is amazing to see how the church has changed their lives. They have a goal of getting sealed in the Temple next year, but not just any Temple, they want to get sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Me and Elder Meraz told them that for their first time in the temple, they are going to want to go through a temple in Mexico because it will be in spanish, but they dont want too. They have started taking lessons to learn english, and they have started saving as much money as they can in order to fly to Utah and get sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, they have so much faith!! When they go, i want Mom and Dad to go with them. Also this week, our ward mission leader said that he has been talking with you all over skype!! Asael is a hard worker and a great leader of our ward. Alright well i gotta go, i will write you next week at the same time!
