" EL DIA DE niño" the coolest holiday ever created,

Hey everybody!
Hey how did the move go? how did you get everything over there? Did you sell the house to members of the church? if not send the missionaries over there haha
Well this week we didnt have the blessing of baptizing Ana and Angel, they are way excited and everything, they come to church every sunday now by themselves and are reading the book of mormon together and everything, but their mom still wont let them get baptized, we have talked with her and everything but she wont give in, we dont know why. Looks like they will have to be miembros secos (dry members) for a while haha.
This week went great, we had a mission activity with our branch to celebrate el dia de niño, the coolest holiday ever created, this is exactly why Mexico is way cooler then the US, i cant believe i missed out on this my whole life haha we bought 3 piñatas and a whole bunch of candy, we had a campfire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, the members loved it!
This week went by really fast, i cant believe i have 18 months out here! In a little less than two weeks we will be able to talk on the phone for mothers day, but im not sure i will be able to do it on skype, next week i will send you the phone number you will need to call, i love and miss you all a ton! see you next week!

Hey everybody!
Hey hows it going- its me again, I hope everything goes well with the move! hey i sent a letter home about a month ago, it should be getting there soon. Its great to hear that chaz and mckenna and their family are doing well, tell them i love and miss them a ton!
Elder Araneda and I this week had some great experiences, There's a lady in our ward named Carmen that had her birthday this week on wednesday, since i´ve gotten here to Piedras Negras, Sister Carmen really has helped me and my conpanions out a ton, she feeds up, lets us use her washing machine, gives us referencias, shes like our missionary mom of the area. something funny that happened to us this week was on friday the wind started to blow a ton! we had to cut off some branches of some trees that were banging against our neighbors house, so we spent like the whole morning climing trees with machetes cuting off branches, i had a blast haha
We had a few things happen this week in our area that we didnt expect. Right now we are working with 2 youth named Ana Karen and Angel, they have been going to church for the past 4 or 5 weeks and really want to get baptized, but their mom is a little nervous about giving them permission because of some bad things she´s heard about our church (she thinks we worship a dozen golden cows when we go to the temple haha). Last week we were really close to getting permission from their mom but then their mom got really sick to her stomach and had to take her to Veracruz, she had her appendix taken out and now she´s really sick in bed, so last week thats why she didnt let them get baptized, but im pretty sure this week they will get permision :) We are also teaching a woman that has breast cancer, she is going through cemo- therapy right now, its way hard for her, but she tells us that she feels like her faith is growing right now more then ever, so if she feels good enough and starts to come to church with us, im positive that she´ll get baptized.
Well thats all i´ve got to report today, i hope everything goes good this week in the move, when is chase going to go to the temple? When does Braxton leave for Mexico? ok well i gotta go i love you all and miss you all a ton! We are looking for someone that has skype here so we can talk on mothers day but so far we havent had any luck, i will let you know if i find someone :) adios

Hey Everyone!
KARLY THAT WAS AN AWESOME BACKFLIP!! i hope i can still do that when i get home haha awesome pictures! Well im writing you all pretty late today because today for our p day some new converts from the district took us out to have a mexican picnic out by a river in the middle of nowhere, and our ride back came for us about 2 hours late haha Well hearing that BRAXTON IS COMING TO MEXICO- im super excited :) please tell everyone that gets their mission calls from the barrio congrats from elder snow.
This week for us went really well, the weeks really are flying by. Its getting really hot here, hotter than i remember it being last year, i get sun burned almost everyday haha We are finding quite a few new people to teach, and if its the will of the Lord, This week we will be baptizing 2 youth here in Piedras Negras, they are brother and sister their names are Angel and Ana, they have been coming to church for the past 4 or 5 weeks now and really want to get baptized, but their mom won't sign the Cedula Bautismal, so we have to wait. We have been working alot with the mom, hopefully she will get baptized too haha. I hope you all can keep them in your prayers this week, ok well i gotta go we didnt get that much time to write this week, i will write you about the conversion story of Ana and her brother Angel next week its pretty amazing. This week we also had a BAUTI-DISTRITO!!!! the other Elders in our district (Elder Morris and Elder Capson in Mixtequilla) and us in Piedras Negras had a baptism service together this week, it turned out great! We baptized an 18 year old youth named Lucy and a 10 year old little girl named Sadia, it was one of the most spiritual baptism services i´ve seen out here, one of the reasons for that is because we got to have the baptism service in between the general conference sesions on sunday, that chapel was filled with the spirit!

Dear Family,
Hey everybody hows it going!! WASNT CONFERENCE GREAT!!!! I cant believe how dumb of a kid i was before the mission- never appreciating(i cant remember how to spell that) conference. Last week i think i got more excited to see it than a kid right before christmas haha. It honestly is incredible that we can hear from a living prophet of God and Apostles of Jesus Christ like that every 6 months. So youre packing up the house getting ready to have a garage sale, thats exciting! Dont forget that i´ve got a big box with alot of my stuff in it in the garage (which i expect has not been opened), please dont sell that one haha
Well this week went amazing, one of the most memorable weeks i´ve had. Getting a new companion and teaching him to be a missionary is probably the coolest thing we get to do as missionaries. i love to train because i think i end up learning more than the newby does haha His name is Elder Araneda from General Roca, Argentina (i´ve always wanted an argentinian companion) i asked him if he knew about an Elder Snow that served in argentina about 20 years ago, he said he will ask his parents. This week we also had a BAUTI-DISTRITO!!!! the other Elders in our district (Elder Morris and Elder Capson in Mixtequilla) and us in Piedras Negras had a baptism service together this week, it turned out great! We baptized an 18 year old youth named Lucy and a 10 year old little girl named Sadia, it was one of the most spiritual baptism services i´ve seen out here, one of the reasons for that is because we got to have the baptism service in between the general conference sessions on sunday. That chapel was filled with the spirit.
It really is an amazing experience to be a missionary and see first hand conversions of these amazing mexican people whom i love so much. The mission is hard dont get me wrong, but when you get to see someone stepping down into the baptism font with a smile on their face, all the tough times you go through are all worth it. Alright well i gotta go, I love you and miss you all a ton! see you next week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On thursday morning when the President Treviño told me that Chase got called to Ukraine i just about dropped the phone!!! FELICIDADES CHASE THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! President Treviño was way excited to hear this too because he was in the MTC with Chases Mission President, he´s Mexican, i was praying pretty hard that Chase would get called to Mexico, so the lord answered my prayer in giving him a Mexican mission president haha! I CANT BELIEVE CHASE IS LEAVING!!!! i feel super old. I heard that the Russian language is super duper hard, you should take chase down to USA Gymnastics gym so he can talk with Yuri so he can hear a native speaker speak it. Thanks for sending me the video! its awesome!
As for us this week things went great! this week we are going to have transfers, Elder Chamberlain is leaving Piedras Negras and going to a place called Tlacotalpan and the mission president called me on friday again asking me to train another new missionary! Tomorrow i will be headed down to Veracruz to pick up the greeny ;) Right now we are working with an inactive family that got baptized here in Piedras Negras about 8 years ago, but then left here and migrated to the United States, and guess where they went to . . . good old Layton Utah! They were living there for about 3 years and then came back to mexico and have been inactive ever since. We have been working with this family for about 2 weeks now, they went to church last sunday, and their daughter Sadia will be getting baptized this sunday :)
Well im way excited that chase got his mission call, but im a little sad that i wont see him for almost 4 years, This is almost exactly what happened to Dad and Mike right? Try to find a book of mormon in Russian so that chase can start reading! I love you all a ton i will write you next week!
                                           With love, Elder Snow
