Hey Everybody!

Hey family! hows it going? Sorry i couldnt call you on tuesday morning like i thought i was going to, as you know, i was throwing up all night the night before i left. I wanted to leave still but the doctor that was on call that night at 4 am told me not to go, so i will be in the MTC a little bit longer, which is a little frustrating, but i'll survive :). So other then getting sick, this week has been pretty good. i've been learning alot, i finished the book of mormon again, and im gonna be in the MTC for new years! I heard that we will have another apostle come talk to us, so im pretty excited for that. I dont really have a companion since Elder Larsen left for Veracruz, so i got put into a trio companionship with two other elders from my zone. They are really cool! So how was everyones christmas? i hope they have all been good! So i will be leaving on monday at 3 in the morning to head out for the airport, and then my flight leaves at 6 to go to dallas. On monday, there are no other missionaries going to Veracruz, so i will be flying alone. I go from Salt Lake to Dallas, then from Dallas to Mexico City, and then from Mexico City to Veracruz. I will call you when i get into the Dallas airport. I get a 30 minute phone call! Im looking forward to talking to all of you!

HEY FAMILY!!!

How is everyone doing! I hope things are going well at home! The MTC has been great, we are learning a ton and getting ready to get out to the field and spread the word. This week has been crazy! In a good way! So earlyer on this week, we were told that the church has been having a difficult time getting missionaries to mexico because visas are hard to get right now. Me and my district were getting pretty scared because it is about 5 days before we are supposed to leave and we have no visas or flight plans to get to mexico.
We went to the travel office on Saturday and they told us that missionaries going to mexico right now have to leave the MTC and go talk to a mexican consolit in either salt lake, boise, or las vegas in order to get our visas. We were told that if they had room to send us to one of those three places then they would, but if they couldn't fit us in, then we would either be getting re assined to a different mission in the states for a while, or we would have to stay in the MTC longer. We have been praying like crazy that we would be chosen to go talk to one of the mexican consolets. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!!! Today me and the 6 other elders from my district got called down to the travel office and they told us that we will be flying to Boise tomorrow at 5 in the morning to talk with them and get our visas! WE ARE SO BLESSED!!! So we will probably be leaving on time, but since we still dont have our flight plans for mexico yet, we dont know exactly what day we will be leaving. So im not sure what day i will be calling you yet, but be expecting a call from me next week some time :)
Mom, thank you so much for the package you sent me! Me and my district have so much candy in our room its crazy! Im pretty sure i've got everything i need. I hope your doing better! Me and my companion pray for you. Thank you for being amazing! So is everyone going over to grandma and grandpas house for christmas again this year? I hope you all have fun! And by the way, grandpa sent me his christmas letter, and in my defence, I AM NOT IN ANY WAY MISSING MY CELL PHONE!!!!!! haha! me and my companion read that and both laughed pretty hard, tell him he is pretty funny. Alright well i've gotta go, I hope you all have a merry christmas! probably the next email you get from me will be from mexico. I love and miss you all!

And by the way, if dad happends to be at the salt lake airport tomorrow at like 6 or 7 in the morning, tell him to look for some missionaries bound for Boise :) Nos vemos!

December 15, 2011

Dear Family,
Hey Everyone! This week me and my companion couldn't get on email because the computer rooms were full and the computer in our classroom is super slow, So I decided to write a letter to you all instead. I'm not sure if you got my email last week or not because it said on a notice I got that it wasn't sent or something. But I want you all to know that I'm doing  great!  Thank you all so much for that Christmas package! I'm so glad I was able to get that, this will honestly be the best Christmas I've ever had.
So Mom, I got your letter and I'm glad you're doing well! I put your name in the Temple and every night me and my companion pray for you. I hope you get better soon!  There is an Elder in our zone that just got his tonsils out, he is in alot of pain-but he is getting better too.  So this week has gone by so fast that its so hard to believe I've been here for like 2 months almost! It only feels like maybe 2 weeks!  This week we had Elaine S. Dalton, the Young Womens general president come speak to us on Tuesday. It was AWESOME!!
So I'm like way super excited to leave for Mexico! I should be getting my flight plans on Saturday, So I will know what time I get to ship out. I'm pretty sure I will get to call you on that day, but I'm not positive. I will try though!
Spanish is coming along great! Me and my companion are getting really good at teaching and talking spanish. I can mostly understand what people are saying. I'm feeling pretty good about it but after studying spanish for 6 hours everyday for 2 months, I better be getting pretty good!
Anyways, I hope all is well at home, and all of you better be taking good care of mom! Just kidding, BUT SERIOUSLY! Anyways, thanks for all you do. I love you all! Nos Vemos!
Elder Snow

And by the way, Thank you so much for your letters Karly & Kate! I LOVE YOU BOTH!! and Grace I love you too!:)

Hey Mom!

How are you feeling?! I hope your surgery went well, i've been kinda worried. Thank you so much for sending me that awesome christmas box!! The things that were in there are going to be so helpful! The elders im my room were so suprised when you got them stuff! Elder Gunter told me to tell you that your the 2nd coolest mom in the world, and thats just because his mom has to be first ha! So this week has been pretty busy but way fun. we got a new district in our zone and me and my companion got to train them and give them a tour around the MTC! It was a blast! We are having alot of fun being the zone leaders because we get to spend alot more time with missionaries that arent just in our district, its awesome! So this week we had a member of the 70 come talk to us! His name was Steven E Snow! In his talk he mentioned being related to Erastus Snow. I didnt get to go and talk to him afterward cause fighting threw the crouds of missionaries was hard, but i sure did try! Well i hope your doing well and take it easy for the next few days. Tell chase that Jonny says he has to be your slave! I will be sending some pictures to you today so you will probably get them in the next few days. They are just of me and my district. I will talk to you later!

Now excitedly serving as an MTC zone leader!

Hey Family!!

Things have been going extra awesome this week! You will never guess what happend. My zone here at the MTC has 34 missionaries in it. Our Zone Leaders were two elders going to Argentina. They left on monday with a few other elders for there missions, and our branch president met with me and my companion Elder Larsen and asked us to serve and be Zone Leaders. So this week has been extremely busy! We have a million things to do and so little time during the day! We had a new district of about 10 new elders enter our zone on wednesday, so we have a total of 31 elders and 3 sisters. At first i was pretty nervous about being a Zone Leader cause they have so much stuff to do and it looked pretty hard. But after a few days ive realized its not so bad, its actually really fun! Spanish is going well. Its still really hard but im learning alot. Last week i was talking to my branch president and he told us that our objective for our mission is not to learn spanish, its about preaching the gospel. The only reason we are learning spanish is because it will help us to teach the gospel. So if we are doing the things we are suppossed to be doing, then we will be blessed with the language. After he said that, it made me feel so much better! But anyways, things here are going great. Christmas here is going to be awesome! Another apostle will probably be here again soon so we are way excited for that! I hope things are going great back home, i really miss you guys!  Thanks for all of your awesome letters everyone! letters are like gold here at the MTC. Alright well i gotta run, i love you all!
